Benefits of Music Education

Help give children the gift of music. In its first phase, Rotary Music4Life™ will acquire 1,200 musical instruments and supplies to ensure that at least 50 percent of Seattle Public Schools’ 4th and 5th grade students can participate in instrumental music. Click here to find out what’s needed, and how you can help.

In the years to come, Rotary Music4Life™ will expand its focus to include a broader range of ages and grade levels as well as choral programs, classroom music and specialized instrumental programs.

Help us help Seattle’s schoolchildren receive the benefits of participation in music programs in our schools, at home and in the community!

What’s Needed

Our immediate goal is to acquire musical instruments and other resources needed to expand elementary instrumental music programs in Seattle Public Schools. Acquisition of 1,200 musical instruments suitable for 4th and 5th grade music students will allow Seattle Public Schools to expand from 36 percent to 50 percent student participation.
